Join the Apopka Parks and Recreation Department for camp beginning June 5 through July 28, 2023 at the Billie Dean Community Center. This camp is for children ages 6 through 12 and will run Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. 

Each week of camp will host 40 campers with various field trips planned throughout the summer. Camp trips may include the Apopka Splash Pad, Camp Wewa, bowling, movies, Dave & Busters, Rebounderz, and other fun activities. 

Apopka Fire Experience 2023

The Apopka Parks and Recreation Department along with the Apopka Fire Department are pleased to announce the Apopka Fire Experience as part of the Billie Dean Community Center Summer Camp during the weeks of June 12 through 16, 2023 and July 17 through 21, 2023. 

The Apopka Fire Experience will feature the Apopka Fire Department, who will be leading camp activities during these two weeks to replicate their traditional Fire Camp experience. The campers will be introduced to various fire safety scenarios and learn the behind the scenes of what it takes to be an Apopka Firefighter. From team building, to learning about fire safety, these two weeks will be filled with an abundance of educational activities for the kids. With instruction coming straight from active firefighters, this experience will be great for those who have an interest in firefighting or fire safety.

This camp is for ages 6 through 12.

  • Week 1: June 5 through 9, 2023
  • Week 2: June 12 through 16, 2023 (Fire Experience)
  • Week 3: June 19 through 23, 2023
  • Week 4: June 26 through 30, 2023
  • Week 5: July 3 through 7, 2023 (No Camp on Independence Day - July 4th)
  • Week 6: July 10 through 14, 2023
  • Week 7: July 17 through 21, 2023 (Fire Experience)

  • Week 8: July 24 through 27, 2023

Times

  • Drop-off is 7:30 AM
  • Last Pick-up is 5:30 PM

Cost

  • Apopka Residents: $80 per week
  • Non-Resident: $100 per week

Please Note: 25% due at registration with the balance due a week prior to their camp week.
